| C.A.R.E GROUPS |
| At SOUND OF PRAISE we are following the biblical pattern for the New Testament church. According to the bible ... Acts 2:42-47 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. (43) And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles. (44) And all that believed were together, and had all things common; (45) And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need. (46) And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, (47) Praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved. We currently have several fellowship groups meeting throughout the island of Okinawa. Everyone in our church is appointed to one of these C.A.R.E. groups for accountability and spiritual protection. These home fellowship groups meet at a minimum of once a week and is place where we are able to minister to each others needs and reach to the lost. Much responsibility is given to the C.A.R.E. group leaders in that they monitor and disciple individuals in their respective groups. Our Goal is souls and we are committed to not only produce disciples, but we are attempting to produce disciple makers. Once a home fellowship group grows, with trained leaders, we divide the group into two and multiply our growth capability. Our vision is to have C.A.R.E. groups evolve to preaching points, to daughter churches, to becoming indigenous churches. These C.A.R.E. group meetings are simple and fun. We usually sing some songs and short bible study. Much emphasis is placed on the fellowship and outreach. We pray for each others needs and concerns and encourage each other. You are welcome to visit these meetings and be a part of the exciting things taking place at SOUND OF PRAISE. |
